As you probably know, our company conducts research in a variety of areas: tobacco products, beverages, FMCG, banks, pharmaceuticals, airlines and others. And although the same tools are used everywhere, each area has its own peculiarities of conducting marketing research. This is especially true for areas that require specific knowledge, when the product being studied is not a product of everyday demand. For example, let's take pharmaceuticals. Having carried out several projects for pharmaceutical companies, we have accumulated some experience in this area and are ready to share it with our readers.
Just like in any other area, methods can be used here. If it is a namibia cell phone number list quantitative study, then the interviewers do not need any specific additional knowledge or skills beyond the basic skills required to conduct surveys. They simply follow the instructions written in the questionnaire or in a separate manual.
In addition, when working on pharmaceutical projects, it would be desirable to get answers to the following questions:
What are the legal requirements regarding the distribution and prescription of medicines?
What is the pharmaceutical company's policy regarding drug promotion, i.e. is advertising in the media allowed or is the drug promoted only through medical representatives?
Are there any statistics on the incidence of the disease being studied?
Have there been any conferences, seminars, round tables or other similar events dedicated to the drug and/or disease being studied?
If you have all the information listed above, it will be of great help to you during the implementation of the project and in formulating conclusions and recommendations.
Our interviewers usually have a strict rule that they cannot rephrase questions, retell them in their own words or give any additional explanations unless they are written in the instructions. Responses to open-ended questions are simply written down verbatim. But as for the project manager (and in qualitative research, the project manager and moderator are often one and the same person), here he will need to do additional work to immerse himself in the topic.
