What could I have done that I didn't in 2018?

Just when you think you have everything figured out, something happens to prove you wrong. Isn't that a perfect example of Murphy's Law? So I had a whole archive of texts ready to publish during these holidays to make my life easier, not spend too much time in front of my laptop and take a break from everything because I'm on a well-deserved annual leave and at a stage where all I need is a blanket, a movie on Netflix and hectoliters of coffee.

As usual, Shonery and Sofija are there to prove me wrong (they do this very often), so with their texts they made me break my rule about not going near my laptop, but I still sat down and wrote a new and unplanned text.

Before we get started, there's one thing you need to know about me, and ghana whatsapp list that I'm not the type of person who cries over spilled milk. Spilled coffee, yes, but that's a whole other topic. In other words, I prefer to focus on what's done rather than what's not done. Those coulda, woulda, shoulda stories ... that's not for me.

Because, what's the use of torturing ourselves about what we could have done but didn't do? It's our own fault, we made the decisions to be lazy, inactive, and mistakenly convinced ourselves that we have enough time, so we'll postpone the idea until next Monday, next month, or another time of year.

So I read their texts with interest and decided that the topic was great but I wasn't going to write about it. And then I realized that I was constantly thinking about what I could have done, wanted, and planned in 2018, and it wasn't because I was lazy, I didn't feel like it, I didn't have time (yes, we all have time for what we want, but we're lazy and time is the best excuse in the world) or I decided that it required too much effort and getting out of my comfort zone.

I should also mention that I never make New Year's resolutions, although after this I might, and we'll see if I stick to them this time next year. I'm a little skeptical about it at the moment, and I'm curious to know if anyone actually sticks to their New Year's resolutions or forgets about them as soon as the champagne bubbles that inspire good ideas stop working and the Christmas lights go down.
