The 10 secrets of WordPress SEO revealed by Daniel Roch!

We offer you this excellent contribution from Abondance

Optimizing WordPress SEO isn't always a simple matter. Sometimes the competition is intense, other times our site and industry are complex. But even if every WordPress site is different, the best practices are always the same. Whether you're in B2B or B2C, on a small site or a very large site, whether you're geared towards the general public or in a niche field, you can easily apply these 10 tips, all taken from the book " Optimizing Your WordPress SEO " written by Daniel Roch, published on January 25, 2024!

1. Have an external backup
1st very simple tip: set up an external kuwait mobile database system, so a backup in addition to that of the host . This will help you if your hosting stops working or if your site is hacked (with all the impact that this can have on SEO).

2. Set up cache
Next, it's imperative to implement a cache extension, for example with WP Rocket. WordPress being a PHP-based CMS, this can cause pages to be slow to create, which can impact the user experience, but also Google's crawling and indexing (the famous "TTFB").

3. Install a global SEO extension
WordPress lacks most of the basic features needed for good SEO. Therefore, you must install a comprehensive plugin to manage various SEO aspects : meta management, redirects, schema markup, and more.

For this, Daniel Roch recommends his SEOKEY extension (easier to use, particularly with its integrated SEO consulting and audit module).

4. Configure the content correctly
The 4th step is to correctly configure your content: content types on the one hand (the "post types" and taxonomies on the other hand). By default, WordPress gives you access to different types of content (pages and articles), as well as several ways to classify them (by default categories and tags). But your theme or your other extensions can add more.

You will therefore need to go to the settings menu of your SEO extension to indicate which content to keep or not for search engines.
